Default WICKLOW - candidates for next general election

Before we get into predictions and the like, let's just find the lie of the land first. Wicklow has a very uncertain ticket.

Anybody know who is running for the next general election?

Fianna Fail 2 or 3 candidate strategy?
    1. Pat Fitzgerald (Arklow)
    2. Dick Roche TD (Greystones)??
    3. .......

    Fine Gael 3 candidate strategy.
    1. Billy Timmons TD(West Wicklow)
    2. Andrew Doyle TD(East Wicklow)
    3. Simon Harris (Greystones)

Labour 2 or 3 candidate strategy.
    1. Liz McManus TD (Bray)??
    2. Jimmy O'Shaughnessy (East Wicklow)
    3. ................ (Arklow)

    Sinn Fein single candidate strategy.
    John Brady (Bray)

    Greens single candidate strategy.
    1. Deirdre De Burca / Ciaran O'Brien / Pat Kavanagh??

    Others multiple randomers
    1. Jim Tallon. (expect a new swish you-tube video akin to Sean "Smokey" Smullen)
    2. ............. People before Profit
    3. .............. Socialist Party?
    4. Joe Behan TD (Bray)??
    5. Some persecuted soul with a chip on their shoulder from the ranks of Fianna Fail

For FF it'll most likely be Dick Roche and Pat Fitzgerald

Anything to damage Sinn Feins prospects maybe. Wicklow People reported that O'Reilly was putting up Eirigi "no to Lisbon" posters in Arklow. Sinn Fein have a fighting chance of a seat next time if other partys run multiple candidate strategys. Local elections 2009 showed that Sinn Fein are eating into Labours vote in working class areas.

Wicklow traditionally has strong left wing vote and the left used to have 2 seats in this 5 seater (1992 Democratic Left and Labour).

However Sinn Fein have no base in Arklow yet so ambitions of a Dail seat are out of reach. I put John Brady on 6,000 votes.(9% of vote) That would be good performance.

personally hoping that FG pick up a third in the form of Harris, impressive young man. As for Brady, don't see him picking up the additional support he needs to get over the line,

expect 1 FF, 2-3 FG, 1-2 Lab possibly 1 ind if Behan can hold on and put more distance between himself and FF

FF could run a 3 candidate strategy with a wildcard as the 3rd. Hard to see them getting more than one seat though.

Behan will run as a Pseudo Ind FF and romp home.

FG will run Doyle Harris Timmons. Will hold 2 seats but will not win 3. Harris will poll well in Greystones, difficult to see him getting a large enough vote in Bray.

FF - Roche, and probably Fitzgerald. Their vote held up surprisingly well in South Wicklow in the LE. Fitzgerald not exactly in the first flush of youth but polled very well last time as a lowly counciller.

Lab - a little caution needed here, probably the ageing McManus and Conal Kavanagh. One Seat. McManus will only run if she thinks she'll get a jobeen when the spoils are being divvied up.

    Default Arklow

I believe o Reilly is floating around Eirigi shows how low they will go to take someone of his caliber. I also heard his cronies that helped in his campaign have turned there back on him after only getting 100 votes shows what the people of Arklow think of him!
