    Default Could Iran strike Europe?

    Just heard on the Hugh Hewitt Show one contributor stating that Ahmajinedad's regime is now claiming that it has the capacity to launch missile strikes against parts of the EU.

    Has anyone on p.ie come across these Iranian claims?

    Iran isn't going to attack Europe.

    It's as much of a threat as the common cold.

    This whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion, why are people believing that Iran as actually a threat to anybody?

    I see that the Iranian euro-denominated oil bourse still doesn't get a mention in most of the media.

    If the Iranians are so technologically advanced with missile and military hardware as they say they are, give them the GPS coordinates for a certain establishment in Kildare Street;

    Hint: John Gormley.

    Why in God's name would they want to strike Europe?

    This is the usual nonsense to make people fearful, and to prepare the ground for "Regime Change" or some other means of getting control of Irans significant Oil and Gas reserves - not to mention Uranium reserves!

    I think Iran is or will soon have the capacity to launch missiles against parts of eastern Europe. This might be 3/5 years down the road though and in all probability the issue of Iran's nuclear weapons programme will have been resolved before that could come about.

    However Iran is not developing these missiles to attack eastern Europe but to allow it to project power over a longer range, thus threatening Israel and American bases more effectively.

    There will probably be a War between the USA+ allies and Iran in the next 18 months anyway unless they can reach a face saving compromise.

    But I doubt it!
