Default BNP on verge of a major political breakthrough...

The Labour elite in Britain are increasingly worried that their neglect of the white working class voters in disadvantaged areas with high numbers of immigrants is going to cost them seats at the Local Elections this May.

Man I would love to see them get a boot up the ass from the people they look down their noses at!

All to play for over here too!

Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. You and your racist buddies shouldn't crack open the bottles of plonk just yet.

What sickens me is that I suspect these latest New Labour bleatings are a concerted attempt to direct attention away from the Tories, which will have the effect of helping the BNP. They played the same trick last May, talking up the Lib Dem threat when they knew it was far less than the threat from the Tories.

If we know anything by now, its that Labour will do anything to save their own oily lying hides

I think it says a lot that this is coming from a senior Labour member. Isn't she a minister? She also states that these voters are not racist. Good. So she recognises that fears over immigration are not the preserve (by any means) of racists.

Personally I would like to see an Irish party with a tough line on immigration too, but without the more sinister rantings of the BNP. Such an Irish party should refrain from remarks about Islam being a "wicked and vicious faith" (Nick Griffin was revealed on TV to have said this) and suchlike. Instead, it should concentrate on the practical problems uncontrolled immigration can lead to, including French-style ghettoisation and riots, erosion of national identity, displacement, exploitation, house-price increases and hospital overcrowding.

Have you any evidence at all that this is happening in Ireland?

And as for house price increases and hospitals, have you got any evidence at all to say that this is being caused by immigration?

re your question: Have you any evidence at all that this is happening in Ireland?

Last weekend, within 500 metres of the GPO, I walked through one of the country's biggest stores and did not encounter a single native speaking English customer or staff member. The country has changed utterly and we should address how to deal with our new immigrant community before it is too late.

    Joe Duffy

Ireland on Sunday April 16, 2006.

Though I suppose from your warped viewpoint he is another of my Racist buddies?

Catalpa i find it deeply disgusting that you have used james connolly to portray your rascist views, your signature does not say james connolly was an internationalist,if people like you got what you wanted james connolly would have never been able to travel to Ireland or America to fight the class struggle and the irish one.You have picked a quote and tried to paint a picture of Connolly which couldnt be further from the truth.

    Do you support the BNP?

An economist on an RTE radio program a few days ago (I think fivesevenlive) said that immigration was a major part of the reason for the housing-price rise. We have to look after the natives as Ned O'Keefe said. Irish people should be able to buy a home.

Redflag, Connolly said "I am an Irishman" (His parents were Irish which would qualify him for that under our citizenship laws). He did not say he was merely a citizen of the world with no national identity - which is what the radical left would have us believe. They would also have us write out the fact that 1916 was a military event. It was a military event and we should be allowed to commemorate it in military fashion. I wonder sometimes what planet the radical left live on.

Connolly was a nationalist and a socialist. Had he not been a nationalist, he would not have been in the GPO. I prefer nationalism to internationalism. I would rather be an Irishman than a citizen of the world.
