Not really. Can't see many changes, FF may lose that second North Ward seat, and it remains to be seen if McGarry's tide is gone out or not. Them aside, same again pretty much.

Little word on selecting candidates mind you. Who will FG run in the North, and FF running mates in East and West?

Guys there is already a thread for local elections in sligo. Look under connacht/Ulster. This is a sinnfein area, so if you want to talk about sligo local elections, do so about sinnfein candidates

Much better redone. As a Sligo Voter, I think that all 3 should retain their seats in the Borough and co.co elections. They have worked hard during the last 5 years.
Sean MacManus is a tireless worker in his community.
I believe his son is cut from the same cloth, They say the apple doesnt fall far from the tree!

And don't forget Sean MacManus's other son (also named Seán I believe), an IRA volunteer killed on active service. Beirfidh Bua!

His name was Joseph (no offence about your error) and he lost his life on A/S in Feb 1987 in Fermanagh. Will Sinn Fein increase their % share of the vote here?

Gibbons is the biggest threat to all the candidates running in north Sligo who at the moement feel very insecure about their seats and if the Sinn Fein party knows what it's about it's Gibbons they will put their full support behind if they want to acheive a seat in Sligo North Leitrim in a General election. He is a worker for the people and he is going places . People of Sligo North Leitrim watch the progress of this man . ! He is a people person and the only true socialist in politics he dosen't participate in junkets heis not an ambitious politition but he does stand for what he beleives in people first.

Redone, your views on gibbons chances seem quite strong. While I would expect an increse in his vote possibly getting elected. I wouldnt be so certain. Dyou you know if there is much happening in the cumann in Sligo?
