Default Fine Gael and Conservatives pledge to strengthen links

    So there we have it!

Notwithstanding the meltdown in the Global Economy because of Right Wing excess, the destruction of the Rethuglican Party in the US because of Right Wing excess, and the disappearance of the PDs up their own ar$es, Enda Kenny has now decided that WingNuttery is the future!

We are about to face a massive economic depression because of 25 years of the Thatcherite school of Voodoonomics, and the Fine Gael Party are making a run towards the CAUSE of the problem, when they should be making a run towards the SOLUTION.

We are never going to see Fianna Fail removed from Government if Fine Gael keep snatching defeat from the jaws of victory like this.

Fine Gael and Conservatives pledge to strengthen links
FINE GAEL and the Conservative Party in Britain are to forge a stronger relationship following the first meeting between the two party leaders in London yesterday.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny told The Irish Times that the 45-minute meeting at Mr Cameron's office in the House of Commons had been "open and enthusiastic" and had shown common ground on key issues including taxation and the North.

    .....

Mr Kenny said the party would be sending some of his policy advisers and frontbench members to Britain to meet with their counterparts within the Conservative Party and to observe how they formulate policy.

The environment was one such area of interest and and it was also proposed that local government council leaders should travel to meet Conservative leaders in the Greater London area.

He said they would move towards a relationship with the Conservatives which would be "stronger than for years".

The two parties have had a relationship through the centre-right European Peoples Party bloc in the European Parliament for 15 years, but the Conservative Party is to leave that alliance next year.

Kenny is a klutz. He is capable of singlehandedly saving the FF party and at a snip(excuse the pun) he might even ressurrect the PDs

    Well, well.

Firstly the Tories forms close electoral links with the UUP. We've been reminded in recent days that the UUP is still a nasty little sectarian party. Now it wants to jump into bed with Fine Gael.

I wonder if FG will catch a dose of political syphillis?

The Tories are closely tied to Libertas too from what I hear. How will Fine Gael deal with that? The Friend of my Friend is my Enemy?

    Shouldn't that have read;

Enda: How about you keep it, we don't want to upset Garret.

Yes, isn't it terrible when the party most likely to form the next government in this country meet with the party most likely to form the next government in our nearest neighbours, closest allies and our largest trading party? What on earth was Enda Kenny doing trying to forge progress? As for David Cameron, doesn't he know that a small number of chip on your shoulder people in Ireland are truly reflective of Ireland? He really shouldn't be trying to cosy up to the most progressive party in Ireland's history. Surely he must know that FG are only strong because people are weak willed and won't listen to SPN out of pure begrudgery?

    Another idiotic thread.
