Default Call that a Christmas tree? - O'Connell St. abomination!

Oh dear! I've seen better concrete Christmas trees in Birmingham. Where on earth did that thoroughly atrocious light bulb cone idea come from. It looks even more miserable during daylight.

Yes I saw it the other day. Apparently the early lighting up is to encourage shopping in this rather slow economic climate. Or so someone told me. I dont know if that is the Councils idea.

It looks like someone dropped a wigwam in the bathtub.

The local homeless people will now be lit up by a hugely expensive lampshade, the christmas spirit is truly alive !

I want to hate it, but I can't. Sure, I'd like it more if it were green and had gold lights, but this is kinda nice.
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.
