They know he's telling lies; but they just don't care, because he is replicating their own sordid lack of values. Unfortunately while there are decent, honourable Americans there are also many Americans with Trump's biased attitudes.

You should be aware in your immigrant-trolling exercise that US immigration law on child brides is intentional, and that's because so-called conservative and/or Religious Right Republicans are constantly engaging in and defending child bride marriages--so long as they're straight, that is--whilst the libs/Dems have been trying to restrict marriages to consenting adults, e.g.,

House Republicans effectively killed a bill Wednesday that would prohibit child marriages in Tennessee,

The national nonprofit Unchained at Last has cited marriages in the state involving minors as young as 10 years old,

Fowler argued that passing Jernigan's bill could interfere with a lawsuit he is mounting to counter the U.S. Supreme Court's 2015 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, legalizing gay marriage.
    . . .
Jernigan questioned Fowler as to why this should affect his legislation, and Fowler responded, "Some people think the state should regulate marriage, and I do not."

Even so-called RINO Chris Christie vetoed a child bride ban attempt, claiming it does not "does not comport with the sensibilities and, in some cases, the religious customs" of what was clearly his GOP base voters in the state.

In a survey of marriage licenses compiled by Unchained At Last, at least 167,000 children under 18 were married in the U.S. between 2000 and 2010. (That number is likely on the conservative side, as Unchained At Last could obtain age data from only 38 U.S. states.)

The vast majority of those children were girls married off to adult men, Reiss said.

Child marriage is most common in the southern United States, according to the Pew Research Center. It's most common in West Virginia and Texas, followed by states like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Nevada and California.

When it comes to child marriage laws, the U.S. in comparable to countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, . . .
