Everyone that plays for NI is eligible through the FIFA rules that apply to every country in the World , except the Republic of Ireland.

In the last match against Austria 2 players were not born in NI and 5 were ex Irish league.

He's ashamed of Rory Best, Jason Stockdale etc who are from Northern Ireland but in Soccer he's ashamed of the players who're not from Northern Ireland.

Unusual for a ROI player moving to NI, be interesting how will he be treated by his new supporters, probably depend on his religion.
Papped out of Rovers, Dundalk and Harps for disciplinary issues, found his level, scoring for fun in the pub league. Not exactly on Micks radar, might get a couple of caps and a move to England via the nordies. Why not?

McClean played numerous times for NI youth teams and indeed the u21s. So he was a late convert.

Duffys Da is from Donegal, so fair enough.

Any player born in any part of Ireland can represent Ireland as part of the FA Ireland team.
Anyway, need to do what most other mainstream sports do and have 1 team represent Ireland in soccer - works very well in rugby, as an example.
