Default Tánaiste Ms. ML Mc Donald?

My prediction is that there will be an election, that FF and SF will do a deal for a Coalition with SF getting a good share of Cabinet seats.

I believe the SF Ard Fheis motion and the announced retirement of Adams was to facilitate this very set of circumstances.

I really don’t think FG know what’s after hitting them, Murphy looked punch drunk on Primetime last night, they’ve been outmaneuvered by superior chicane-erists.

One of the things this scenario will throw up is Tànaiste Mc Donald.

We’ve come a long, long way together.

It has already been pointed out the election is a direct consequence of the Adams' resignation.

    Do keep up.

Not a hope. SF went too far, too quickly on this one. A serious misjudgment on their part which FF and FG may be quick to exploit. SF of all parties LOVE an election and yet they are in the poorest possible position at present following their shindig last weekend.

Actually it's FF on a heads I win, tails you lose ploy - Micheal Martin's last throw of the dice before he becomes the only FF leader never to be Taoiseach.

Two possible scenarios if there's an election:

1 - FF do better than FG but FG stay at the races because they all of a sudden FF are the de facto "law and order" party, roles in the Dail switch and MM is Taoiseach with coalition or C&S arrangement

2 - FF do okay but SF deliver on promise and have 30 - 40 seats and are prepared to coalesce with FF for some reasonable baubles...same result, MM is king

Basically 2 out of the 3 possible scenarios work out for MM.
    The more things change....

Who will they send to the leaders debate?
You'll never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator.
