    Terrible news. In hospital with a liver issue and then died of a heart attack it seems.

    Remember first seeing him back in the early 90s, shortly after his Perrier award.

    Never really got his sense of humour, to be honest...like a lot of "Irish" comedians he traded on the vaguest sense of being an inbetweener

    Ah no, I saw him in concert once! He was a trail blazer for all the other subsequent great Irish Stand ups!
