    Default Sinn Fein North Tipp

Rumour around Nenagh is that Sinn Fein Councillor Seamus Morris is to resign/has resigned from the Party and is looking to go Independent. Anyone know anything about this, reasons etc?

    Interesting.

I know "ROC" is gone from SF but he'd surely know from his uncle.

They likely have some else lined up for the upcoming GE now that he has all the donkey work done building things up.
Ravaging liberalism is Irelands new modern version of the intolerant RCC of the 1950's.

Not really, conventions still rule the day when it comes to candidate selection, all HQ can direct is the number of candidates run in the strategy. Such was the high number of existing Female candidates, HQ didn't even have to interfere with local selections last year which I know caused ructions in the other parties.

Yeah, ROC was a good poster. He didn't blindly subscribe to any party line.

The uncle of "ROC" is actually best positioned to take a seat for SF in Tipperary.
    He's from the Cashel area.

Prior to leaving SF I would have agreed but bizarrely he became a lot more of a partisan hack afterwards.

Didn't Morris get himself into hot water with SF a few years back over some comments of his ? Can't find it online, but think it was him.
