RTE described lots of local outrage about the incident yet the only outraged people they could find to interview on camera were members of the local County Council. There was no consultation with local people about the location of this centre, just like there is no and was no consultation in every other town with a DP centre. They aren't refugees they are asylum seekers, mostly from Brazil, Pakistan and Nigeria, who flew over many safe countries to get here. The local council aren't getting the message that people don't want them in their community. I recall the ''local support'' in Lisdoonvarna for the DP centre, turned out all of the women they interviewed didn't even live in Clare let alone Lisdoonvarna.

For a start I'm a centrist, and I know perfectly well what the term 'scab labour' is. I simply have no idea how you think it is relevant to a highly unionised employer like the NHS. You're talking utter crap.
Just pulling sh1t out of your arse and throwing it into the mix is not a sensible way to make your point.

Not true. The BBC interviewed people who have fruit farms, chicken farms and the like. All paid the living wage and included other perks but couldn't get British workers. Simply put expectations are higher for British people than Eastern Europeans who just need a job, any job.

I live in Clare and many many people are supportive. Many are naive open borders types, some lefties thrown in but many simply are Mark 1 human beings with enough empathy to genuinely want to help people in trouble and who, unlike you and other bigots on this thread, are not obsessed with skin colour.

So we offer Asylum to every wannabe female migrant who locks herself in the Bathroom?

Well they claimed they did. Nobody is going to admit paying crap wages. It is not unreasonable to assume that these are low paid jobs mostly on the minimum wage which involve hard and monotonous work.
