Default Is the kingdom of Saudi Arabia about to fall ?

....and if so, how long before the kingmakers of the west declare their undying support for whatever new regime arrives into that sandy place. It is interesting how the arab spring toppled so many dictators and yet left Saudi untouched. And of course, their human rights record is pretty shocking. With no freedom of speech and tough blasphemy laws, perhaps Saudi is the only true monarchy left on the planet. Never forget that Bin Laden was a Saudi with money. Also bear in mind that, containing Mecca and Medina , Saudi is holy land for all muslims. Also remember that the whole country was set up on a whim by some western powers and a few well connected locals. Countries fast to make can fall apart just as quickly.

Is it true that the house of Saud have thousands of minor royals, cousins if you will, running amok and causing merry hell ?

Whatever happens, with all that oil, things will get very interesting.

I heard these warnings before. Every decade in fact. But Saudi keeps trucking. The Saudis are far more clever than we them credit for. They know like Bertie who to dole out the goodies to inorder to stay in power.

Sorry but the whole idea is a tad preposterous, especially in light of man's dependence on oil. Your O.P. will be valid as soon as man discovers a viable working form of cold fusion or some other wonder energy source.

America will soon be energy self sufficient and even an exporter.

I think the lowering of oil prices (By the Saudis) is a deliberate attack on the Fracking industry in the USA. Fracking is only viable when oil is at a certain price or higher. If it's lower then it's not worth the expense to frack the oil out of the ground.

No. They have the bogeyman of Shia Iran and sectarianism against their own Shias in the east of the country to keep themselves on the throne.
    Save the 27th.

    No.

Saudi Arabia is the creation of two arabic tribes, the Sauds and the extreme Islamic Wahhabis. While this arrangement remains in place and nobody else like ISIS can topple them, Saudi Arabia will continue in its current form.

Supposedly, there will be the chance for women to take part in local elections this year, but I doubt if the country is at the point of loosening its extreme conservative/Islamic outlook on things.

I'm sure the women will be (driven) driving to the polls.

Saudi Arabia advertises for eight new executioners

Saudi Arabia is advertising for eight new executioners, recruiting extra staff to carry out an increasing number of death sentences, which is usually done by public beheading.
No special qualifications are needed for the jobs whose main role is “executing a judgement of death” but also involve performing amputations on those convicted of lesser offences, according to the advert, which was posted on the civil service jobs portal.
