Default Why you should be optimistic about the economy! (Original Thread)

I didn't see a thread on this but if there is.. please merge..

Five reasons to be upbeat about the Irish economy - Independent.ie

According to Conall MacCoille of Davy Stockbrokers there is a lot to be positive about with the Irish economy set to become the fastest growing economy in Europe this year, with a range of indicators pointing in the right direction.

    The five main reasons are:

    1. Employment
    2. Economic indicators
    3. Tax Revenues
    4. The UK economy
    5. Room to bounce-back

So, dispite all the doom porn merchants that call p.ie their home, there is now real optimism in the real economy...

For the irish ecomony to become the fastest growing economy in Europe would be a major achievement. If this turns out to be the case will any of the p.ie doom porn merchants give credit where credit is due?

P.ie crew always gives credit where it's due.
But what it does not do is play O'Grady says with stockbroker shills who STILL have not explained how they failed to predict the banks share price collapse.

These clowns predicted - worst case scenario - that GNP growth would fall to 1% per annum between 2008 and 2010 and that house prices would fall by 5%.

Their oracle must have been off-kilter that day. All glitches have since been fixed. The future is bright, the future is optimistic.

    Get buying houses plebs!!!

Hammer.. your FG blinkers are on. Nothing approaching doom-mongery has been posted (yet)...

But don't let me stop you getting out of the trenches first.

Who gives a ************************ about the economy....we're not competing with the rest of the world - let's focus on our pace and deal with the real issues at hand - ones that are not economic. Demographic & characteristic. And cowardice.
