Default Death of Ruairí Ó Brádaigh

Reports are coming in that Ruairí Ó Brádaigh has passed away. No links yet but a lot of tweets and coverage on the cedar lounge revolution.

To be honest, I'm surprised he was still alive.

He has condemned the Provisional IRA's decision to seal off a number of its arms dumps as "an overt act of treachery", "treachery punishable by death" under IRA General Army Order Number 11.

The Provisional republican movement. By far the most important figure.

Nice man with a deluded political vision, I remember listening to him about 20 years ago.. jaysus he was extreme, would remind you mad mullahs preaching Jihad today.

Either way, the members of his family I encountered were good sould, to whom I offer my condolences.

Whatever you may think of his politics, he was a hugely significant figure. For good or ill.
