Officials from the White House and the Justice Department have yelled, screamed and cursed at her for her reporting, she has now been frozen out altogether by the White House and her computers were compromised over the past two years in a manner she thought bore similarities to the current scandals surrounding the monitoring of reporters emails and calls enveloping the Justice Department (a spokesperson for the Department denied involvement "to the best of our knowledge"). Her bosses at CBS News have been putting her under pressure to drop her aggressive pursuit of the truth surrounding the Benghazi attack and she doesn't expect to last much longer at the network.
Outside of Fox News, CBS investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson (nicknamed "Pit Bull" by some CBS producers) has been one of the few mainstream media reporters who have doggedly pursued the White House over scandals such as Fast and Furious, Solyndra and Benghazi before it became chic to adopt a less subservient and compliant attitude among mainstream media reporters in the wake of this month's barrage of scandals to hit the Obama administration.
