Default The best place to holiday in Ireland is............

Loop Head takes the holiday crown in

Loop head according to the Irish Times. Seems like a relaxing pints-and-mussels-chat-with-the-locals type of place. There seems to be a big groundswell of back to basics in tourism. I heard on the radio yesterday that on average you spend 3 times as much going abroad on holiday than if you stayed at home. I hope this trend continues as places along the western seabird and away from the big cities need some sort of stimulus.

Well Lonely Planet has said Cork City is among the 10 best cities in the world to visit and the BBC claim Cork is a greater destination than Dublin. How bad says you.

    It's funny because it's true.

Ireland is a bit ropey when it comes to kids activities, cycling isn't safe unless you stay on an Island and the place isn't exactly bending under the weight of high quality kids activities in the tourist sense. And then we have the fact that eating out is still nose bleedingly expensive. Then there is the weather.

Anywhere that isn't this office, and where I am not surrounded by these boring, perspectiveless (if there is such a word) drones.
I have no money, but I love my life.

Dingle Peninsula or West Cork have to be better. Bantry, Schull, Clonakilty.. take your pick.
