Default #VINB Mon 20/5/2013: Alan & Mick - no hope of reconciliation?

Charlie Flanagan, FG TD Laois https://twitter.com/CharlieFlanagan
Niamh Lyons, Political correspondent Irish Daily Mail https://twitter.com/niamh_lyons
Padraig MacLoughlin, SF TD Donegal North-East https://twitter.com/PadraigMacL

Mick Wallace, independent TD, this afternoon lodged a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner about the disclosure of information received by Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter, on RTEĎs Prime Time programme last week.

Mr Wallace will receive a formal decision if a breach of data protection legislation has taken place after the Office receives the Ministerís comments. The Commissionerís office said it was up to Mr Shatter to justify the basis and the justification for disclosing data that came into his possession as Minister for Justice. The Minister has said he received information about the GardaŪ using their discretion regarding an incident involving Mr Wallace in the course of a briefing from the force.

Mr Wallace said he was using his mobile phone while driving in Dublin in 2012 and he has been pressing the Government over alleged improper quashing of penalty points

Expect plenty of clips on tonightís show, and, of course, a good debate between Charlie and Padraig. Well worth watching Ö Sparks should fly.

    That Springer thing is brilliant!
Cry your hardest now, it opens the lungs, washes the countenance, exercises the eyes and softens down the temper. So cry away.
