Default 43,375 on Dole have never worked a single day.

One in seven people on the dole has never worked a single day - Independent.ie

that's just over 14% of the unemployed, a huge amount of people.

the question is what to do with these people?

the time to do something was during the boom of course.

if they haven't worked by now they are probably unemployable,

so they will never work again.

Wow, we finally have a figure.

This is going to ruin any future 'It's the Unemployed fault' threads.

What do to? Incremental reduction of their payments if they continually fail to seek gainful employment.

Simple, make the leaving cert purely about finding a job and giving you early skills in your preferred area and anyone with academic brilliance can go on to college through schemes.

The OP states they have "never worked a single day".

How can they "work again" when they have never worked?

Yeah fine....there are many people on the Dole who never did an actual days work...

....but do they cost as much individually as the members of the Seanad ?

Coveney's ambition is the be Ireland's next EU Commissar and Ireland will pay a price as he builds his CV to position himself sufficiently loyal to the nEU empire.

There are some people that employers just won't employ.

Welcome to Europe. Their are millions of young people who have never worked. The crisis is already 4-5 years old.

Before you know it ten years will have passed. Europe will have a generation of 30 year old who will have never worked.

    Well done the Eurozone.

How can those people avail of Job Seekers Benefit if no PRSI contributions have been made?

They can't so they must be on some other benefit.
