Default Grand Opening of Tipperary Racecourse

Nice to see this major development at the track. One of my favourite little courses in Ireland. Pity then that they had to invite former jailbird and tax dodger Lester Piggott to do the necessary for the grand opening. No doubt he will be in the company of famed local tax dodger and all round bad egg, Michael Lowry who will be able to impart information on how NOT to face the threat of jail.

Were they building an extension ?
Coveney's ambition is the be Ireland's next EU Commissar and Ireland will pay a price as he builds his CV to position himself sufficiently loyal to the nEU empire.

At least Piggott served his time in jail. Unlike Lowry.

You beat me to it. What he did was wrong but he paid his dues, others have done worse and got away with it.

I thought Piggott was dead, actually.

To such ones the modern world is nothing but betrayal and ruin.........We feel bound to disagree with these prophets of doom who are forever forecasting calamity -- as though the world's end were imminent."
