Default University rankings show that small countries' universities can rank among the best

See Executive Summary and full report

Ireland's middling university ranking suggests more investment is needed to catch up with the best small country university systems in Scandinavia. That means higher fees,as in Canada and England.

University fees. A degree gives you a leg up. Time to pay for it.

We would rather elect politicians who sepnd the money on junkets to Rio. It is all a matter of priorities.

And we would rather students who blew a few million brain cells of F'arthur's Day.
Coveney's ambition is the be Ireland's next EU Commissar and Ireland will pay a price as he builds his CV to position himself sufficiently loyal to the nEU empire.

Wrong. Fees would drive the lower classes out of the third level sector altogether.
