Default Hard Times: Taxpayers paid €3.5 million for Viagra in 2011

The State spent at least €3.5 million on the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra in 2011 as the number of prescriptions soared to record levels. More than 115,000 prescriptions for Viagra were filled for Medical Card holders in 2011 according to information provided by Minister of State Alex White to Fine Gael TD Billy Timmins.

Unemployment = Depression/addiction = loss of sexual appetite = further deterioration of relationships = further depression/addiction.

If only they'd emigrate or commit suicide.

On the bright side we'll have a baby boom and God knows we'll need all those future tax payers.
