Default #VINB Wed 1/5/2013: Trade unions this May Day

Details are not from tv3. Panel details will be included as soon as known/broadcast.

John Douglas, Gen Sec Mandate http://www.mandate.ie/news/Mandate/4...l-members.aspx
    John McGuirk, PR consultant https://twitter.com/john_mcguirk
Colin Whitson, Industrial Relations lecturer http://www.ncirl.ie/Research_&_Innov...h_Faculty_2011

WARNING: Sorry folks, but I really haven’t the foggiest what’s on tonight as I haven’t been given any info from tv3 on tonight’s #vinb, despite rquests, so I’ll have to fill in the details on the grid as we go along and I hear the broadcast.

But, I did get a tweet from John McGuirk who says he will be opposed to unions. I presume it’s trade unions and not civil unions or credit unions he‘ll be talking about, and seeing as it‘s May Day!! Well, it makes a change from abortion …

Perhaps tonight is the night when Vincent will remove his ageing proboscis from pregnant womens' wombs and desist from crossing swords with the vile succubus Simmons and give us his harrowing demi-documentary about the events in the Congo; or Rwanda; or Syria ; or Bognor Regis or whatever God-forsaken third world dump he wants to impress us with a dollop of ersatz indignation about, this month.

Fair play, Norman, you predicted the show's topic very well ... I think you deserve a Like from everyone for that.

John McGuirk ah jayziz ,smugger than Gay Byrne.
The truth of an idea is not a stagnant property inherent in it. Truth happens to an idea. It becomes true, is made true by events.

I cannot look at this. The guy does not quite irritate me as much as the Hobbit, but he's getting there...

He has that brash over-confidence and flushed head-boy cheeks of the classic goody-two-shoes, smug, smirking Junior Chamber of Commerce type who is so right-wing in his teens that you wonder where he will end up at 50.....an Indian Ashram? A hippy commune smoking dope and jeering at "bread-heads" ?

I predict a huge climb down by the government with both sides claiming success, government trundles on till the next crisis and simply ramps up indirect taxes and cuts to cover the shortfall at the next budget.

I'm shocked that while I've been away for a few weeks experimenting with sleep Norm has picked up a female alter-ego.

I'm very motivated about this topic, does anyone know how you get a comment on the tweet machine?

Where can I protest that tonight's show isn't about Abortion?
