Default Is this republic of Ireland a complete failure?

I believe we need a new republic. We are more educated now and certainly wiser as to the ways of the world.
Cop on, you might say, aren't things bad enough, down with that sort of thing.

This country is a failure, morally, economically, politically, structurally.

To prove my point, can you think of an era/decade since we gained independence in 1922 in which you would rather have lived?

I will be very surprised if anyone can.

Therefore should we not start again and this time really give power to the people?

It is a question of how we measure up against the other 170 or 180 countries (pretty well) versus how much better we could be if we got ourselves together.

This is not a republic, its the 26 county Free State, and as such is an abject failure.

FFS - why this again? And again?

What are you proposing which is different?
    What reforms would you implement?
When have you got off your arse to do anything?

(the answer to to question is no)

I've advocated for a long time that we should do as France does and periodically declare a new Republic along with a new Constitution.

Advocated to whom? TD's, political parties, trade unions, newspapers, like minded individuals in groups.
Or do you mean anonymously on the internet?

Somebody give this guy a sandbox where he can play with his doo-doos.
I suspect he just picked a theme to go with his avatar. A lot of trolls do that. Especially if they are trolling on multiple sites.
