Default Muslim mob besiege Christian church over interfaith romance in Egypt.

A Muslim mob is surrounding a Christian church in Egypt over an interfaith romance. A Muslim girl has fled to Turkey with her Christian boyfriend. The local Imam is concerned she may have converted to Christianity and hence as an apostate she must be murdered.

Police appear to wish to defend the Christians on this occasion, perhaps a certain amount of attention to the plight of Christians has brought some pressure to bear on the Islamist government of M. Mursi.

The alleged romance ignited sectarian tension in Wasta, a rural town in Beni Suef province, about 60 miles south of Cairo.

Clashes flared anew on Friday after weekly Muslim prayers, said a police source and a priest.

For more than a month, Muslims have attacked churches over the incident and forced Christians to close their shops in the town.

Christians make up nearly 10% of Egypt's population of 90 million.

Comments: Muslims Attack Christians in Egypt's South - ABC News

The Christians pine for Mubarak, the Muslim Brotherhood is determined to annihilate the Christians in Egypt.

Christians are at least 10% of the population though perhaps 15%. When a Christian man marries a Muslim, it is automatically assumed by the authorities he is a Muslim convert and his identity card (denominating religion) is amended accordingly. Hence the dispute.

Christians are steadily fleeing the Middle East, whilst Muslims are following them to Europe. The social democratic left is studiously ignoring these issues but not everyone is. If Governments don't wise up and address the persecution of Christians and Muslim migration here, pretty soon we will have "Golden Dawn" parties in every European government.

    Then, interesting stuff will happen...

It's the old story. Old hatreds were suppressed under the iron fist of previous regimes (Mubarak, Sadat, Nasser...). Now, they're bursting out into the open.

Barbaric. The international community should use Egypt's economic crisis as leverage to press for a crackdown on violence against Christians.

If we don't want this happening here we need to severely restrict Islamic immigration to this country, because experience across Europe is that with mass Islamic immigration comes fundamentalism and extremism among at least a large minority of them and possibly more. Ask Salman Rushdie.

Rushdie is an idiot, he doesnt identify Islam. Islamism doesnt exist, there is only Islam.

    He signed this statement:

After having overcome fascism, Nazism, and Stalinism, the world now faces a new totalitarian global threat: Islamism. We, writers, journalists, intellectuals, call for resistance to religious totalitarianism and for the promotion of freedom, equal opportunity and secular values for all…. It is not a clash of civilisations nor an antagonism of West and East that we are witnessing, but a global struggle that confronts democrats and theocrats.

The world is a very puzzling place. If you're not willing to be puzzled, you just become a replica of someone else's mind.

No they don't. All the have is a few links and we have no idea if the details in them is accurate or not.

But leaving that aside, Eric could'nt care less bout this girl or anybody else in the story.
He merely wants to rehash the old "kill all muslims before they kill us in our sleep" mantra.

Honestly, i'm very surprised you, an intelligent poster, give any credence to these racists.
