Tonight’s show is a kind of a follower-upper to that of last Monday night:
Which also has many links in its OP.
Today, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said he does not intend to have another referendum on abortion rights - the Government set out its formal decision on the issue in December, and its intention to deal with the ABC case [a challenge by three women to Ireland's abortion laws at the European Court of Human Rights] with legislation and regulations.
And in another development, Lucinda Creighton tells Olivia O’Leary to get a grip over the abortion issue.the law on abortion is not being changed, but is being codified. The law when clarified will deal strictly with the Constitution and stay within the existing law. It will deal with the X Case and will do so without bringing any new rights here. It is a complex matter and one that requires sensitivity and understanding.
Good panel tonight for what should be an excellent debate … Oh! that is, if you’re not sick to your back teeth about the abortion issue…
