Default Ireland 2013 - "Jobism" - Hating People because of their Occupation

Have you ever seen the likes of the invective flying around over the past few years?

The hatred for people working in Banks, Estate Agents, The Legal Profession, Construction Industry etc.

Its dangerous for some of them to go to the Pub!

Then its Public V Private & within that Gards, Nurses, Firemen, School Teachers, Civil Servants etc feeling the strain...

It seems now more than ever someone has it in for someone else because of their Job.

As the rush to the trough heats up people are having their individuality obliterated & are simply being categorised by their job.

    Some communities are disuniting.

This is unfortunate as Ireland was always an easy going Country & apart from a bit of moaning reserved for Speed Cops, Doormen, Bus Drivers, Taxi Drivers etc it was live & let live up until recently.

Worse again we also have "Propism" - in our newly ever more fragmented society - people are now being hated over when they bought a house & if they are looking for a Deal or are forking out for someone else.

If we don't look at were we are heading as a people then we will just end up in an ever worsening "hatefest".

Although I've made these 2 words up - I'm aware of a differnt form of "Jobism" & Malapropism.

Regardless- we need to cool down as we share out our blamegame & struggle through to a better future.

And yes Astral - a Deefster OP without loadsa questions

People's taxes are rising, their prospects are dwindling and they are seeing very little for it.

Blaming "others" is the only rational response. It is impossible for the State to look after everybody's needs but everybody expects their every need to be looked after because their neighbour is apparantly having theirs looked after.

This is a necessary condition of an increasingly pluralistic "society". It will only get worse, until the welfare state disappears.

To be fair, people in the legal profession by and large are a bunch of useless overcharging c*unts.

It is even better that that- we manage some people because of the jobs they do and others because they have no job at all.

I haven't worked for a while (not claiming either in case some poster wants to cut my throat) but when I did work, at one stage I was on a contract teaching job for Fas, "oh, you're one of them", was a comment I got one day.

As for anonymous Internet posters! Scum, the lot of them, coming over here and stealing our pixels.
