    Default Happy St Patrick's Day

I am currently in Sydney, Australia and it is already St. Patrick's Day.

Greetings to all Irish and all ex-pats.

May God keep you save and look after you on this most Irish of days.

(It is allowable to break ones lental fast on St. Patrick's Day).

Let's be proud of ourselves today - our country is the envy of Europe as it will be the first one to leave the Troika under it's own steam.

Looking forward to the club finals and dinner with the clan but as someone who likes his pints I will be steering well clear of pubs tomorrow!

Have a good one everyone and stay safe!

Looking out my window here in Ontario, Canada, snowing as usual, i'd love to be at home watching the parade pass before me as i have my traditional first '99 cone of the year, and observing numerous American marching bands get pelted with hail stones but in a few minutes get warmed up by a sudden burst of march Irish sun.
Happy St Patrick's Day one and all

heres a St Patricks Day treat for you....
BBC RADIO 4 has been running a fabulous Brian Friel series with readings of several short stories, and five of the plays. Well worth a listen, but not on the website for much longer . Here's a link to a poignant story called 'the gold in The sea"

You could do worse than spending half your Patricks day listening to some of them .BBC Radio 4 Extra - Brian Friel Stories, The Gold in the Sea
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night .

Never remember snow on Patrick's day in Toronto, maybe you're further north. Happy St. Patrick's day, enjoy yourself, don't get too homesick if you're on your own.

Beautiful day here on Florida's Emerald Coast.
Will be grilling out tonight with plenty of trad music playing.
Several friends coming over, looking forward to a good time.
History will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening.

Snow flurries and crisp in New York where the big parade is on today to allow for religious observances tomorrow.

Happy St. Patricks day to everyone, whereever you are.
