Default The Daft Property Tax Calculator

Given the phenomenal amount of interest in Property here on the site, here is a potentially useful tool.

If Posters feel that it works for them - then please publicise it for the use of others who are confused at this time.

The Daft Property Tax Calculator provides an estimated value for your property, and a corresponding estimated local property tax (LPT) due for 2013 and 2014.

    Yay, my estimate is lower!

Ah, shoot, that means I'm even deeper in the doo-doo than I realised!

Interesting to see the property tax this year 247.50 and 2014 495.00 I am surprised they didn't charge for a full year this year....

Just realised I am in negative equity... quick I must stop paying my mortgage and throw the keys at the bank...

This is for my parents house as I dont live in Ireland anymore. I think the value of property is pretty accurate for the area.

    Estimated property tax
    Estimated value of property:
    €443,002
    Valuation band
    €400,000 to €450,000
    Estimated property tax 2013:
    €382.50
    Estimated property tax 2014:
    €765

That's exactly why they didn't charge the full amount in year 1.

Houses in my area down 50% from the height of it at least. Sounds legit.
