Default Vatican buys gay sauna in Rome under priests apartment. This is not a joke, they actually have.

Apparently the Vatican have decided to buy a sauna which is in the basement of a building that houses lots of priests.

The gay sauna in question specialises in hairy men dressed as priests, for its bear night. I hope some of the gay men on this forum can explain that type of event in full detail.

For details regarding this event see:
    Vatican purchases

When I first saw this in the newspapers my brain stopped in its tracks.

This is literally only weeks after it was alleged by some that the pope stepped down because of a gay group in the curia.

I personally think the Vatican should stop attacking LGBT people as it is clear that it has a very heavy concentration of LGBT people in its ranks.

What is your opinion regarding the hypocrisy of the catholic church on issues such as this?

    Update:

Is this the same house? http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...n-panties.html

I have been reading things like this on forums, but this is the first article I found I could link to about the allegations.

Why did your brain stop? Real estate is real estate. Anyway, what harm is it if a few bears want to have a priest's night out. Think it's a great idea that the Vatican is getting into the 21st Century.

At this stage nothing would surprise me about that lot! Someone, somewhere has to be the Sergeant Jackrum-figure who has all the info written down

Are they buying it to close it down and turn it into something else?

If so, I kind of get it.

If they're buying it as a going concern, then... well. Words fail me!

economically it made more sense to buy it than to keep paying the many many subs of it's members
