An army of hundreds of anti-riot police and anti-terrorist squads (! –those wearing a full-face and riding SUV’s) invading the small town of Ierissos (population: 3.000) in the Chalkidiki area, Northern Greece. The local community of Chalkidiki, having an economy based primarly on tourism, has been fighting to stop the destruction of the whole area by a monstrous goldmine owed by one of the greek media barons-oligarchs. This is how our puppet-junta-troika government is protecting the investment of one of it’s big bosses … The squads even invaded the local school, the larger building in the video and threw tear gas in it (the students and teachers where inside). The local townfolk are fighting back, some perched on the roofs of their houses…

(By the way, an 11 month old baby from Ierissos is still in hospital because of the tear gas)

In the provincial town of Missolonghi in Western Greece (population 18.000 /famous amongst other things for being the place where Lord Byron fought for Greek indipendence) the local public college is being shut down by our puppet-troika-junta government. Many such colleges and schools are being shut down all around Greece in the name (endless) austerity… The shut down will mean a catastrophe for the local economy. A minister of the government (who is also a local mp) is making a speech in a hotel in town and there is a demonstration outside. The demonstration is headed not by …some anarchists or something but by the town mayor. The local SYRIZA mp is also attending (you’ll see her at some point showing her mp identity card to the police trying to stop them from attacking people) Despite that, the police are not in the slightest discouraged in carrieng out their orders of not allowing the townsfolk to see the minister… At some point the minister ...escasped from fully surrounded building racing his car, vilainously ignoring the many local young people and college students who where waving a sit in on the road..
