Default Do you remember Bláithín-Irelands first TV Artist

Folks who were children in the late 60's /early 70;s will surely remember with fondness Bláithín the first TV artist . Cute, bilingual an everyone's big sister type of gal. I used to love her show......and practiced her art as best I could-she certainly caused some pre pubescent stirrings chez O'Pericles.

RTE have resurrected one of her shows:

which may be seen on RTE player.......anyone else share these memories.

    Irish Paint Magic or nothing.
The world is a very puzzling place. If you're not willing to be puzzled, you just become a replica of someone else's mind.

Good but somehow just not Bláithín-esque.

I remember her well, used to love the programme; that and 15 mins. of Looney Tunes on Friday evenings.

She became quite a successful still-life artist too....

I have a vague recollection, as I would have been about six or seven. What I DO remember is my sister starting to paint after watching her shows.

I started painting in my early teens, but by then I was into Sorollo, Orpen and Lavery.

For me, sixties TV was Leave It To Beaver and Lincoln Vale of the Everglades.

I remember it well - Bla with Drahein.

It was a good programme and I really liked it.

I remember it well, too. Not bad at all.

I know the name but a small bit before my time to have actually seen it.

The Blaithin I associated with RTE is Blaithin Keaveney, the pi$$ take continuity announcer from Nighthawks. Here she is in classic Eurovision form
