Default Worst Performance in current Dail - Sandra McLellan ?

watching Questions to the Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport live from the Dail.

McLellan (SF, Cork East) is reading out her supplementary questions !

Never, ever in many years of observing the Dail have I seen a member reading out pre scripted interventions during PQ's

The reading of a script into the record of the Dail during a debate is bad enough but this is the pits

A Puppet would have been more useful

I think its unfair to personalize attacks or pick out any TD in particular.

The Dail is hardly overflowing with inspirational parliamentarians.

She's probably trying her best, so deserves a break.

No - watch it back - really appalling

If proof were needed - Timmy Dooley is on now asking supplementary questions - and he is light years ahead of her !

Thomas Pringle's appalling first outing on behalf of the Technical Group at Leaders Questions was entirely scripted, both his initial questions and supplementaries. So it's not a first.

It does show a lamentable lack of ability that someone can't give supplementary questions on the hop, depending on what the reply to the first question was.

On the plus side, at least you know her name unlike many others who have piles from sitting on back benches for the last twenty plus years and have only opened their mouths to pour in porter or ask for a payrise.

I don't know what criteria should be used to create a league table of Dáil performers but it should include more elements than manner of questioning.

The question is, who writes her script. Are they approved by the army council first?
