    Good.
If you continue to elect idiots in elections, don't be surprised when the result is an idiotic government.

The Mali mission is expected to involve 450 EU military and support staff.

They will provide basic military training and advice for the Malian forces on command and control, logistics, human resources, international humanitarian law, the protection of civilians and human rights.

According to a statement, the mission will not be involved in combat operations.

U.N. Security Council to back Mali peacekeepers in weeks

This not UN mandated it is EU mandated only.

No - it's EU common defence mission creep.

If deployment involves less than 12 members of DF it only requires Cabinet and Dail approval - UN mandate not necessary under terms of Defence Act

Disgraceful. This is the advancement of what Jacques Delors called "European resource wars in Africa".

Then Shatter can take a hop, skip and a jump. We shouldnt forget that this has long been the Blueshirts wet dream of involving Ireland in resource/colonial wars and military alliances without a UN mandate.
