Default Catherine Byrne FG - Closes Office because of CAHWT Protest

Property Tax Protest Monday 4th Feb 2013 at the constituency clinic of Catherine Byrne FG TD - YouTube

Catherine Byrne a Fianna Gael TD in Dublin, today closed her office because members of the public unhappy with water charges (CAHWT) occupied her office and....shouted at her. She was close to tears and called the Guards (who Fianna gael are also trying to get to work extra hours for less money.

The demonstrators have posted a video of the occupation on YouTube which shows an extremely distressed Ms Byrne calling gardai when they refused to leave.

Is this an acceptable style of protest or is it a case of whats good for the goose is good enough for the gander...or if you ca'nt stand the heat get the fick out of the kitchen. Amazing the first people she called were the guards in the 'local Garda station' which Shatter and co including ENDA 220'000kpa think is a fine idea to close.

Well they were in effect trespassing and refused to leave when asked. They are quite entitled to protest and should have done so on the public footpath outside the office.

You got it in one. How many of us have been in tears of despair at Catherine's partys collective austerity decisions.

What utter scum. Harrassing and abusing an older lady.

This is a good illustration of the kind of low-life knackers who inhabit these "protest" groups.

There's few issues that can't be solved by shouting at a 56 year old woman and her teenage daughter. Nice touch to ruin the days of the constituents who were waiting their turn to speak to the Td as well. Sher why should they enjoy democracy when they can just be shouted down?

That doesn't mean she can close down her office without offering an equally accessible alternative to her constituents. If these yobs show up again just press charges for trespass.

I'm living in America, and in America, you're on your own. America's not a country. It's just a business. Now f***ing pay me.

The game of politics is not for the fainthearted, she should not be in it if she can not handle a few protesters in her shop, has she not trespass on the lifes of the people she is taking money off.

Medieval in what sense? Flogging? Execution? Hanging?
The world is a very puzzling place. If you're not willing to be puzzled, you just become a replica of someone else's mind.
