Default Drug charge gangster let off due to security expense

Drug charge gangster let off due to security expense - News, Frontpage - Herald.ie

ONE of Ireland's most notorious suspected killers has escaped serious drug dealing charges because garda management decided it was too expensive to organise security for his court appearance.

IN a shocking case of 'penny pinching', two charges against him were struck out at a court hearing in Dublin this week when it was deemed that "it was simply not worth the money" to take the crime lord to court.
Well, at least our government is consistent. They continually let off criminals - from dirty bankers to corrupt politicians, why not one more?

I guess the moral of this story is be so violent that you scare the Gardai and courts system to the point they can't pay people enough to transport you.

Shush. Don't want to be seperating someone from their kneecaps.

They should do it like the Italians and have the Gardai wearing masks when bringing these crims in, there should be an all out blitz on locking up these crims for longer and longer. It is such a disaster that the legal system does everything to protect the crims and very little to protect the future victims of these crims.

Standard sentencing should be introduced for crims with more than 10 convictions and if a lenient Judge gives a light sentence below the minimum sentence and the crim re-offends then the Judge should be docked wages for getting it wrong.

There is simply no reason for serious crims to be out on bail or getting light sentences.

If the Gardai and State cannot or will not jail these drug dealers, then communities have the moral right to defend themselves.

For goodness sake people, the Gardaí are playing "pay-back" for the cut-backs and the closure of almost 100 Garda stations.

Where will the money come to ensure this criminal is secure? What part of their budget will have to suffer further to keep this felon safe in custody? Over-time budget is slashed too, so, let the criminals go.

Pay Back. We, as usual, get the punishment, as Shatter has a body-guard.
