    Default Enda's tips to Congress

An Taoiseach was asked in Davos this week what advice he would give to the U.S. Congress as they decide on their budget cuts - His answer was to plan, pick a strategy that's clear and can be set out. Decide what you what in government, with constant explanations to people explaining each step.

Is that a fair account of this governments first two years in office?

I've linked the question and answer session (second video on in the link). Its well worth listening to the session in full, the last question starts about 51:00. Enda was praised yesterday for his performance. I'm not sure that I was as impressed as other P.ie folk.

The Danish PM Helle Thornning-Schmidt was impressive. Anyone in Denmark out there that can comment on her leadership and government?

In fairness, the Government has stuck to a pretty rigid plan since it got into office, and rejected the various calls to make stuff up on the hoof ("stimulus", and all that crap). So Kenny is preaching what he practices.

Thornning-Schmidt is always impressive on the stump to anyone who hears her. Unfortunately her performance in office so far has been pretty insipid, by all local accounts. She is a pretty ineffectual PM.
