Default Sinn Féin TD Dessie Ellis linked to 50 murders

This is a massive story and will be hugely embarrassing to Sinn Féin. Why has it being buried in a completely unrelated thread?

Mr Ellis has offered no comment which quite frankly is not good enough. Actually, it's contemptible. If he's not a mass murderer (and I'm not saying he is, mods), then he needs to state so publicly and declare his intention to sue the British state and the Irish Independent.

Anything less and the people of Ireland and Dublin North West will be forced to draw their own appalling conclusions

He then went on a hunger strike that lasted 37 days in protest against his pending extradition to England. He was eventually acquitted in London.
Last piece says it all really.

Sure, even if he did state publicly that he had no involvement a certain coterie of the commentariat wouldn't believe him anyway. Also, the burden of proof lies with the prosecution. If you make allegations you must prove them to be true in court anything less and your case fails. I don't think this is a massive story at all it is a bit of dirty tricks and spin stuff between former combatants.

Why was he not prosecuted for these 50 murders? Why is he not rotting in prison?

It seems there are some credibility issues here.

Why did he give an evasive reply? Why hasn't he already said he's suing?

The people of Dublin North West are more than aware of Dessie's past, Jayus Dr Sir Tony O'Reilly's comics remind them often enough . Dublin North West has drawn their own conclusions over the appalling mess that Fine Fail and Fianna Gael have made down the years. Bet Thatcher's murder of 323 young Argentine men on the Belgrano escapes yours and Dr Sir Tony's comics attentions though
Follow the money in this country and it ALWAYS goes back to state support, be it tax breaks, state contracts and the manipulation of markets for the gombeen class.

Bad news week or someone recieved the christmas bonus cheque from MI5 and is getting a bit carried away.

Been a story on how the state paid €500 on British flags for Her Maj's visit. Now that is relevant news isn't it.

Well at least he has Eamon O'Cuiv beaten and O'Cuiv was a Minister. By that I mean Ellis is allegedly in these reports linked to a high level of productivity. O'Cuiv was only ever linked to his grandfather and achieved nothing of any note.

Do you think the PPS are that incompetent that they would allow a mass murderer to run free?
