Default Ireland - 2nd most charitable country in the world.

Of course, this story has been ignored on Politics.ie because it portrays the country in a good light.

Leaving that aside, it's remarkable how generous people here still are with their time and money in this country - despite the current economic difficulties. Personally, I find myself buying a charity scratch card or donating to an on-street collection almost every day.

We're the second most generous in the world and the most generous in Europe. We're the most generous in the world in the "giving money" category.

So, as Christmas approaches, let's be positive and give ourselves a big pat on the back.

Why that's nothing new. The Anglo Bondholders have known that for years.

    You're equating charity with that?

Charity begins at home, start looking after yourselves and leave the foreigners to look after themselves.

Biggest charities that the Irish people give to are charities that mainly operate outside the state.

The state itself will have to borrow €700 million to give to foreign despots who will more than likely line their own pockets first.

The Government is robbing the people of basic services and reducing benefits, so that they can put us in more debt to help foreigners.

How does that compute with you?

Some amount of sour fukers on this forum. Glad to see the general Irish public are not as bitter.
