Default If you ever wondered how Ireland came to be phucked....

Stories flow thick and fast as Kerry bids farewell to noble warrior Páidí Ó Sé - The Irish Times - Wed, Dec 19, 2012

Cowen was always going to come to Ventry this Christmas – the two had planned to meet over the festive season. But it happened, tragically, sooner than he expected.

Afterwards, he joined builder Tom Bailey and Seán Quinn jnr in a snug for a drink

The man once responsible for the State's finances and governance, and now in receipt of a 6 figure tax-funded pension, thinks it's acceptable to drink in the company of two of the best examples of what went wrong with the country. I'm only surprised they didn't 'phone Sean Fitzpatrick and make a night of it.

If there was ever a clear example of the kind of dodgy networks, relationships and lack of awareness and ethics it's this - ex Taoiseach boozing with dodgy developers and greedy defaulters.
    The more things change....

The central character from the Drury's Glen episode never misses an opportunity to make a disgrace of himself.

And true to form he is never long sober.

Coveney's ambition is the be Ireland's next EU Commissar and Ireland will pay a price as he builds his CV to position himself sufficiently loyal to the nEU empire.

The old boy's club still looks after their own. The little people can go to their soup kitchens. The front of Seanie Quinn (jnr..) to offer half of his posh pad to purge his contempt is staggering. Still, it would have gone down well in Cavan.
History repeats itself. First as tragedy, second as farce.

Do you honestly expect anything different from these Individuals? That ominous saying 'we haven't gone away' comes to mind.

As shown by the green jersey wearing Seanie meets Malteser in the pub episode in Poznan, we tolerate our betters screwing us royally. And nobody even as much as raises a whimper of dissent. Shurr, isn't it grate for them....they wrecked a country, and they are lookin grate, and enjoyen their pints. And the rest us are stuck with paying for the mess.

Not surprised at all, bar maybe the fact that Mehole wasn`t in the snug also.
