Default Labour Rebels May Be Stripped of Membership?

Niamh Connolly of the Sunday Business Post has just tweeted that she is hearing that Eamon Gilmore at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party stated his intention to strip rebel TDs and Senators of their party membership and not just their membership of the parliamentary party.

This could be quite serious and if carried through could cause a serious split in Labour.

Will Ruairí Quinn then approach Gilmore telling him he's come for a head?

Gimmemore is on an authority trip.

Clearly, he will not tolerate individuals expressing their conscience from stopping him from being in power.

The Stickie leadership of the ILP are behaving increasingly like the CJH faction running FF in the 1980s, with every passing day.

It has now got to the point that PSF are more tolerant of dissenting voices than OSF.

Currently FFinished are more likely to allow internal debate than the Looper Party.
Coveney's ambition is the be Ireland's next EU Commissar and Ireland will pay a price as he builds his CV to position himself sufficiently loyal to the nEU empire.

What rule do you believe that they have broken?

While I`m aware that the labour leader has a lot of clout ( not enough in his eyes ), I rather think it would have to go to some sort of hearing if that was indeed the case.

If Kenny can hold the fort with his crowd then only around 8/9 Labour TDs are required fr a majority.

The 8/9 old stickies like Gilmore have no problem voting through every cut so I don't see what the problem is.
