Default Petition to wind up Dunnes Stores

Worth keeping an eye on this story:

An application to wind-up Dunnes Stores will be heard before the Commercial Court next month.
The petition was brought by the builders of a Kilkenny shopping centre over an unpaid debt of €21 million.
The debt is the subject of a High Court order made last March.

I would't miss them. Quite recently they have been delisting some of my favourite products; French Dijon mustard (as opposed to fake stuff produced elsewhere) and Australian honey to name two.

Maybe Sainbury or ASDA could be coaxed to buy their stores.

Cant see Dunnes going down for €21 Million, could they?

Surely they have more than that in the bank.

Of course they aren't going to be wound up. NAMA just wants the money it believe is due.

How many jobs would that equate to if it was wound down?

Surely it would be sold off to someone like Asda.
