Default Ehud Barak announces his resignation from political life

Ehud Barak resigns from politics - Israel News, Ynetnews

Maybe the first political victim of the latest Gaza war. Barak and Bibi have been gagging for a war with Iran but could only provoke a disastrous little war against Palestinian women and children. Barak gone first and the elections might see to Bibi.

Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak to retire from politics | World news | guardian.co.uk

Barak, 70, made the surprise announcement even after polls showed his breakaway Independence party gaining momentum after Israel's recent military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
In August 2012 Hamas MP and Deputy Speaker Ahmad Bahr appeared on Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV and demanded all Muslims to annihilate the Jews.

the Defense Minister, who has seen a recent spike in popularity following Operation Pillar of Defense,
according to Haaretz. I'd say he's fairly sure that if Bibi wins he'll pick a hard line Likud Defence minister. Barak wasn't " gagging " for a war with Iran.

With any luck some of these characters should be snatched the moment they leave Israeli soil and sent promptly to the hague.
Netanyahu's day will come eventually also, murdering african troops on their own soil will come back to haunt him.

The most decorated soldier in Israel's short turbulent history. A very good politician who took Israel out of Lebanon and always tried to get negotiations going when he could. He'll be missed.

Barak, as a former General, would be pretty much with the Army, who see no way to take out Iran's nuclear program with 100% probability, other than with a nuclear strike. In that, they are in agreement with the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.

They say all political careers end ultimately in failure, but Barak's has been a bigger failure than most. In the last days of the Clinton Administration, he had a chance to stamp his name on history by making peace, but fluffed it.

I see you've dropped your arrogant style.
