BBC News - Narrow Water bridge: DUP wants probe into decision to grant EU funding

The funding for this bridge was announced on the 24th October last and he only complains now? What could have possibly have happened in the interim to make Peter so agitated? A very strange turn of events.

For unionism this is as good as it gets, for nationalism this is the worse it can be.

"Mr Robinson said: "We have money available for infrastructure projects and the case was made, very strongly, that these have to be to the infrastructure projects that come out at the top of the list and not what some people were able to choose that weren't even on it."
It'll be put out to Unionists petition, oops, sorry "Public Consultation"!

In South Down it is Sinn Féin pushing the agenda, not SDLP.

This building of this bridge shall signal the beginning of the reunification process.

Never mind the fact that most N.Irish Catholics are now happy living in the union. If we build more North-south bridges we shall have a united Ireland in no time, and all the little Irish children shall dance.

    Total ballix, as you know.

Unlike SF, Ritchie and her party are willing to take on loyalists. There's no mystery that the DUP are embroiled with loyalists paramilitaries, the only mystery is how much.

Let me remind you again of the three day delay it took for SF to get on board with censuring Mc Causland over siding with loyalists and their rioting fan boys.

Fair play to Gerry Adams for pointing the figure at the UVF for organising and orchestrating the attack on a small republican parade but he didn't have the conviction to follow it through, not the conviction that big Jim Mc Dowell had in his paper.

Of course, Big Jim is now, as he has been for a while, a target of loyalists, Robinson's loyalists, but he has the nerve and determination to name names and let them take him to court or, as happened at the city hall a couple of years ago, take him on personally and assault him.
Ya wouldn't want to have seen t happening but if Eammon Mc Cann and Bernie Devlin conceived a child, ideologically, it would be me

I love the way Robo does a reach out speech and in less time than ya could make a Potnoodle, one of his mob blows the lot.

Today, he did both with having a southern minister to his conference and the. Coming off with this parochial, bigoted paranoia.
