    bottom line- eu is still good for us

    But that excludes the benefits in kind. Access to the single market and the revenue that brings and the like.

    Why - Because "we" are in receipt of more monies than we presently give?

    The urban PAYE workers do all the giving and the big farmers do all the taking.

    And when you factor in all the billions we've given to banks at the behest of the EU and the loss of our fishing rights, sugar industries etc then it's a big jump to conclude that this is evidence that the EU is good for us.

    94% of the EU budget is spent in Member States, and yet listening to the Tories, Mary Ellon Synon, and other idiots, you'd swear that 100% of it is being spent in Brussels.

    Get 617.85

    Given our wealth levels, we shouldn't be getting more than we give. Just saying. I thought we were on our way to being net contributors.

    We were. Then our economy crashed - necessitating a rethink of the figures (iirc).
