Default #VINB Wed 21/11/2012: More on x case legislation

WARNING: Show’s topic and panel not received from tv3

    Ivana Bacik, Lab Senator http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivana_Bacik
Michael O‘Regan, Journalist Irish Times http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...326839421.html
Luke ‘Ming‘ Flanaghan, Independent TD Roscommon-South Leitrim Luke 'Ming' Flanagan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sorry folks, but I haven’t the foggiest what’s on tonight as I haven’t been given any info from tv3 on tonight’s #vinb, so I’ll have to fill in the details on the grid as we go along and I hear the broadcast.

Just heard from Ivana: she will be calling for genuinely independent inquiry and government commitment to legislate for ‘x’ case.

The main focus on tonight's show will be on the interview given earlier by Praveen.

But as ‘Ming’ is on I presume - always a bad thing - that the Taoiseach being jostled in Galway by turf cutters will feature somewhere in the programme. Otherwise it's chat with Vinny about the news stories of the day …

I'm sick of this abortion debate.
Cry your hardest now, it opens the lungs, washes the countenance, exercises the eyes and softens down the temper. So cry away.

I will probably be about turf -seeing it is the only thing Ming is qualified to talk about with any confidence.

Ming Flanagan will surely argue that Savita's death shows the urgent need for amendments to our turf-cutting laws.

And at this point in time, in the absence of an investigation, he would have about as must justification for saying this as anyone arguing we need legislation relating to the X case.
