Default #VINB Tue 20/11/2012: Bill to implement x case judgement

Pat Buckley, European Life Network Pat Buckley - European Life Network: A large group of Fine Gael deputies will oppose abortion legislation in Ireland
Mary Lou McDonald, SF TD Dublin Central Mary Lou McDonald - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fionnan Sheahan, Political correspondent Irish Independent Irish Independent Columnists | Read The Indo Newspaper Writers' Columns - Independent.ie

The saga continues following with Praveen Halappanavar, husband of Savita, saying he is not happy with the set-up of the Independent Inquiry.

Meanwhile, Sinn Fin have also introduced a Private Members Bill calling for immediate legislation to implement the Supreme Court judgement in the x case. Mary Lou McDonald said the system has fudged and prevaricated for 20 years and that pregnant women continue to be left vulnerable with doctors left to operate in grey areas.

To discuss both these related topics Vinny has lined up a reasonable panel for tonights show [minus any Government representative: quelle surprise]. A worthwhile show should be on for tonight

    Oh God...

The extremes on both sides of this are gonna drag us down with their hysterics, bullsh!t and lies...

And the 'establishment' and the media are going to let it drag on and on and on...

    *sigh*

Definitely won't be watching this one. I'm sick to the back teeth of this issue clogging up the TV, radio, papers and this place for the past week.

    Stick it, Vincent.
Abortion is an act of violence. Violence demeans humanity, particularly violence against women and children.

Might be interesting to see Vinnie explore this FG anti abortion group.

The Pat Buckley link has a picture of James Reilly. Either the picture was taken many years ago or the stress of high office has taken a terrible toll.
