Default Disability Rights Coalition protest tomorrow at Central bank 2pm.

Disability Rights Coalition Ireland are holding a protest against the whittling away of disabled people's rights by those in charge through a narrative of those rights(to get out of bed, go to the shop, have a roof over their head in the case of mentally ill people, SNA's for school kids) as being an unaffordable luxury in a time of financial crisis ,(while banksters rights to screw every citizen in this country, through socialization of private debt left right and centre, are being fiercely upheld by the establishment).

Disabled people are asking for support for their RIGHTS to be honored as set out in the 2011 election promises. These promises have been constantly broken. It takes place on Wednesday 21st November at the the central Bank of Ireland at 2.00pm and moves from there to the Dail.

This thread has 38 views. Just shows that really the irish are the geatest hyporits in the world. when it comes to making people for example with mental health problems homelessness through savage cuts which is tantamount to indirectly putting a gun to these people's heads and pulling the trigger ye dont give a sh1te. yet one person tragically and wrongly dies at the hands of the health service and ye are up in arms.

No one is interested in boring disabled people. People want exciting glamorous news. And yes, I agree with you, we are a nation of hypocrites.

Well I did try myself a good while back in the day at raising awareness off disability rights and unconnected mental health issues.
Sadly I never got anywhere as folk on pie are far to worried about what ever it is that worries them.
Mainly supporting SF dismissing Israel and having a go at other posters.

    PS
A poster here recently used a disabled rights protest as an excuse to have a go at Willy O'Dea, now that says a lot.
