There was a time we'd laugh at countries like Uruguay and refer to them as "Banana Republics"

In my naive youth, I thought Adams or Mc Guinness would've ended up being politicians like this, if in power.

A decade from now we'll all be living on 150 notes a week, drinking from wells in the garden and driving twenty-year-old scooters.

"I'm called the poorest President, but I don't feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more."

"This is a matter of freedom. If you don't have many possessions, then you don't have to work all your life, like a slave to sustain them, and therefore more time to spend for yourself."

As politicians go, Sinn Féin are the only ones willing to sacrifice. Are they as heroic as this man? No, they aren't. That is not due to their flaws, it is due to this man's incredible strength. He is one in a generation. As politicians go though, Sinn Féiners are for the vast majority of the time willing to show solidarity with the people.
