    Default Opinion Poll this weekend?

Just got polled by Behaviors and Attitudes.

Asked about my satisfication with the gov and all the party leaders
Even Eamonn Ryan of the greens! lol!

    Also asked about the economy
    Then budgeting and Christmas finances
Then asked about charities and health issues

now the bi-monthly P.ie navel-gazing session begins as regulars try to see into the tea leaves of another poll. Wait until it's published folks.

I wonder how random and representative is phone-cold calling for polls.

E.g I have four landlines in my office, and have had a number of polling calls over the years. Refused to participate with those whom I did not know of, or which started asking intrusive questions. Some start out claiming to b e surveys, but move on to trying to flog something.

Had a call last year from an Indian gentleman trying to sell me a web site service, that I could advertise my service to the world etc etc. Told him most of my clients were in the immediate locality, that I regularily met the key people in the pub around the corner etc. Did his best to persuade me to go global, very persistent. He must have a certain impression of Irish networking.

Did answer one Red-C call- Many questions before politics. Normally would have cut them off, but waited for the political part. Quite fair, didnt try to steer me to any particular answer. Names of parties called out at random, neither in alphabetical order nor by size. No comment on replies. Checked if I usually vote, and likely to vote next election

Calls usually come in the evening, when they may be aiming for private residences

Pollsters claim they poll a sample of social classes, age groups, etc.

the only thing they can be certain of in blind cold calling is the area in which you live.

Some dont proceed if you give true age ( 70+ ) etc

You've got your avatar all mixed up. This one suits the FG crowd better.
